Introduction
I have spent much of my time living either side of the Pennines, whichever is the right or wrong side, I was born and raised in Yorkshire and I am proud to be a Yorkshireman.
I have spent the last 20 years on the western side of the Pennines, living with my partner. For the last decade I have lived in leafy Cheshire in the charming town of Congleton.
I am the very proud father of a grown-up son who now works in Barristers Chambers in London.
I am a very keen traveller and have had the good fortune to travel across the world (isn’t the night in a hotel before you are about to catch a flight across the world the best part of a holiday?).
Despite a substantial part of my career being focused on working in both logistics and outsourced procurement businesses, I am the only member of the LOGURU team who has been a frequent presenter on national radio! (There you have clue to a favourite hobby – I produce radio programmes from my home studio, I am now extending this interest into the world of video editing and have just purchased a drone to begin to produce aerial footage). I am the reason that we are one of the few businesses in this game that has its own Spotify playlists.
I have an absolute drive to do what is fair and right by people. A real attention to detail and a desire to produce perfection.
Background
My early career was based around clerical roles work for what is now Agility Logistics, I developed a keen sense of system and process which has stood me in good stead for my role managing Customer Accounts for Loguru.
Following a move to the other side of the Pennines I worked for several years for the Bunzl Group becoming very familiar with the operations of a large-scale foodservice business.
From there I dipped my toe into consultancy, working in the back office of a procurement consultancy 4C, supporting the management of the business’s key clients, one of the being Diageo.
From here I moved into Account Management for one of the most prestigious hotels in Cheshire, giving me a keen perspective of the importance of accuracy and good fiscal policy in the successful operation of a conference hotel.
My key strengths are a keen sense of fairness, a determination to be accurate and diligent in all that I do and an absolute focus on ensuring that customers needs are fully met.
I view life as a continuing opportunity to learn and improve.
Aspirations
I simply want all people that I know come through this Covid-19 crisis unharmed. I want the LOGURU team to continue their record of success and grow the business.
I want people to see that the unique way LOGURU works allows us to help business even when travel and direct contact is difficult.
Personally, I really would like a holiday (anywhere!) but look forward to when we can continue to travel around the world.

We have introduce a micro-consultancy concept called Loguru lite
,
The principle is that you can book time by the hour with subject matter experts to help and mentor through a number of disciplines across Supply Chain, Logistics, Procurement and Technology. The view being that sometimes consultancy can be seen as being heavy and expensive, when on occasion just access to an expert can add sufficient value to ensure success.
